I'm graduate engineer in naval architecture. I studied at the Technical University of Vienna. My interest in software develpment comes from practical problems I had to solve during my study. Years ago computers were not so powerful as today. With my hard earned money I bought an Atari Mega ST4 which I programmed in assembler, Fortran, Forth, Lisp and C. Since this time I invested over and over again in more powerful computers until I found my passion for embedded systems. During my study times I dreamed to programm a Cray Y-MP, at this time the most powerful computer in the world, with power current connection and liquid cooling system. Actually I'm programming a NVIDIA Jetson Xavier development system, which is more powerful than the Cray Y-MP with 25W power. So the time have changed and I'm exited about what the future will bring.
